A company asks you for an electronic signature

It may happen that an organization has already determined which signing software you must use. For example, you have been able to easily sign a digital purchase agreement from a real estate agent with Vidua for several years.

In some situations, you have the option to select how to place your qualified signature, allowing you to choose Vidua as your provider. In other instances, where only a qualified signature is necessary, you can simply use Vidua Signing (see below). This way, you can safely sign a government tender, for example.

Are you registered with Vidua? If so, you can easily and securely sign documents using a qualified electronic signature, which holds the same legal value as a handwritten signature. If you’ve recently changed phones or deleted the Vidua app (formerly Authenticate), simply register again with Vidua.

  • On your computer, log in to Vidua Signing
  • Scan the QR code on your computer screen with your Vidua app.
  • Enter your PIN code in the app.
  • The file is now legally signed. This can be verified on your computer.

Note: it is important that you have a “flat” PDF file. This is a PDF file without embedded form fields or Javascripts.

What is Vidua?
Vidua is a sevice which enables its users to digitally identify and sign documents at the highest security level. It is provided by Cleverbase: a Qualified Trust Service Provider which is recognised by the EU.
What can I use Vidua for?
You can use Vidua to provide documents with a qualified electronic signature or to identify at the highest security level with one of our partners.
What is a PKIoverheid certificate?
You could compare a PKIoverheid certificate with a digital passport. Within the PKIoverheid framework, there are personal certificates and server certificates; Vidua provides the personal variant. Personal PKIoverheid certificates allow natural persons to identify at the highest security level and to sign a document with a qualified electronic signature.
Can I use Vidua to sign a European tender?
Yes, Viduas signatures valid throuhout the European Economic Area (EEA) and are of the highest eIDAS security level.
I lost my phone with the Vidua app, what now?

If you are no longer in possession of the device on which you registered, it is imperative that your Vidua profile is blocked as quickly as possible. You can do this by following the instructions below:

  • Use the block code that you received via e-mail after your registration;
  • Do you no longer have the block code? Then contact or customer service by sending an e-mail to klantenservice@vidua.nl or (070) 820 96 80. They will assist you with blocking yout Vidua profile.
How can I file a complaint?
We’re sorry to hear that your experience with Vidua did not meet your expectations. Would you like to file a complaint? If so, please send an email to klantenservice@vidua.nl with the subject line ‘Complaint.’ Our customer service representatives will handle your complaint according to our procedure.
