We are proud to announce the first session of the Expert Sessions of Friday, September 20th!!
During the LSP Potential Hackathon, we are organizing in-depth expert sessions for anyone interested in learning more about developments in digital identities, wallets, authorizations and signing. You can attend these sessions free of charge. If you choose both the morning and afternoon sessions, lunch will be provided.
Starting this week, we will reveal a new knowledge session each week that will be featured during the Friday expert sessions. The first session will be about:
Understanding the ARF and implementing acts for Decision Makers, Implementers and Business Leaders
With the eIDAS update, the EU aims to ensure the availability and interoperability of secure wallets and trust services. To achieve this, a shared Architecture Reference Framework has been established, which will be reflected in implementing acts under eIDAS. The architecture includes many technical specifications, each with its own background, which are often challenging to understand for those with policy or managerial responsibilities. Nevertheless, all these specifications can significantly impact how the market develops under eIDAS, what dependencies may or may not arise, what is and isn’t permitted, and where the major implementation burdens will fall. The ARF is highly relevant for decision-makers and business leaders.
In this knowledge session, the components of the ARF and (draft) implementing acts will be systematically analyzed. We will explore the background of the various provisions, how to interpret them and the implications for policymakers, implementers and businesses.
